I finally photographed a Jewish wedding! It was on my wedding photography bucket list for 13 years. Jit & Claudia loved the images they saw on my website and wanted a photographer who could capture a mix of eastern and western culture. The wedding took place at Stationers Hall, a Grade 1 listed building located a stones throw away from St Paul’s cathedral. The ceremony itself was a fusion of rituals from both religions, I didn’t realise how many rituals Jewish & Hindu weddings shared, was so lovely to see. I was really looking forward to the horah in the evening, this is where the bride and groom are lifted while sitting on chairs as their guests dance around them As the couple were being bounced around, Jit was holding on for dear life, he looked over towards me over the crowd mid flight with the ultimate look of ‘help me Shiv!’.
